How to bridge to Elysium: HYPE from HyperEVM, step by step
7 min read · Updated October 27, 2026
To use Elysium you need HYPE there, because HYPE pays for gas. Elysium is a Layer 2 that settles to HyperEVM, so the bridge goes from HyperEVM to Elysium, not from Ethereum. Here is the full route, from wherever your money is today. Background on the chain: what is Elysium.
The route: Hyperliquid to HyperEVM to Elysium
- Get HYPE. Buy it on Hyperliquid's spot market (HyperCore) or on an exchange that lists HYPE.
- Move HYPE to HyperEVM. From HyperCore you transfer to your EVM address; from an exchange, withdraw on the HyperEVM network.
- Bridge HYPE from HyperEVM to Elysium on Kinetiq's official bridge page. Connect your wallet, choose the amount, confirm on HyperEVM.
- Wait for the deposit to land on Elysium. Your HYPE appears as the native gas token.
What do the Elysium bridges do?
| Bridge | Direction | What it moves |
|---|---|---|
| Canonical bridge | HyperEVM to Elysium (and back) | HYPE and standard ERC-20 tokens from HyperEVM |
| Mirror bridge | Elysium to HyperEVM | Tokens born on Elysium: locked on Elysium, a 1:1 mirror minted on HyperEVM |
| HyperCore link | HyperEVM and HyperCore | Assets between the EVM side and Hyperliquid's order books |
How long does it take to bridge to and from Elysium?
Deposits from HyperEVM to Elysium are fast. Withdrawals back to HyperEVM through the official bridge are optimistic: they finalise after a challenge period, as on other Arbitrum-based chains. Check the wait shown in the bridge before you start, and plan for it. Unredeemed deposit tickets can also expire after several days, so finish every bridge you start.
How much does bridging cost?
You pay gas on HyperEVM for the deposit and very small gas on Elysium. The bigger cost is usually getting HYPE in the first place: exchange fees, withdrawal fees and the spread. Third-party bridges may add their own fee; compare the amount you will receive, not only the fee line.
Can I use Elysium without bridging?
Yes, through an app that handles it for you. sasa is preparing Elysium support where you keep USDC in one balance and launch or buy Elysium coins from it; sasa converts to HYPE and moves it to Elysium behind the scenes. It opens with Elysium's mainnet. The idea is the same as moving USDC between chains without a bridge.
How to avoid fake Elysium bridges
- Open the bridge only from Kinetiq's official website or X account, and bookmark it.
- Ignore DMs and replies offering a faster bridge, an airdrop checker or 'early access'.
- Check the network you approve in your wallet: Elysium testnet is chain ID 99801; take the mainnet chain ID only from official docs.
- Never approve unlimited token spending on a site you reached from a link someone sent you.
Questions
How do I get HYPE on Elysium?
Buy HYPE, move it to HyperEVM, then bridge it from HyperEVM to Elysium with Kinetiq's official bridge. It arrives 1:1 as Elysium's native gas token.
Can I bridge from Ethereum or Base to Elysium?
The official bridge connects Elysium to HyperEVM, its parent chain. From Ethereum or Base you would first get HYPE onto HyperEVM, or use a third-party route or an app that handles it, such as sasa.
How long do Elysium withdrawals take?
Withdrawals to HyperEVM through the official bridge are optimistic and finalise after a challenge period. The bridge shows the current wait before you confirm.
What tokens can I bridge to Elysium?
HYPE and standard ERC-20 tokens from HyperEVM. Fee-on-transfer and rebasing tokens are not supported.
Is there an Elysium bridge airdrop?
Kinetiq has not announced an Elysium token or points program. Treat any 'bridge to claim' link as a likely scam.
