Take profit and stop loss for meme coins, explained
7 min read · Updated October 1, 2026
Meme coins can double or halve in an hour, often while you're asleep. Auto orders turn a plan into something that runs on its own: sell some when you're up, get out when it turns, or buy when the price comes to you.
The three order types
- Take profit: sells when the market value rises to your target, for example +50% or +100%.
- Stop loss: sells when it falls to your limit, for example -30%, to cap the damage.
- Buy the dip: buys when the price falls to your level. Your USDC waits in the orders contract and comes back if you cancel.
How to set them on sasa
- Open a coin and choose the Auto tab in the trade box.
- Pick the order type and a level. Quick chips like +25%, +50% and +100% fill it in for you.
- Choose how much to sell or spend, and confirm.
- Your open orders appear on the coin page; cancel or change them any time.
Choosing sensible levels
- Leave room for normal swings: a stop at -5% on a meme coin usually triggers on noise.
- Split your exits: two take profits at different levels beat one all-or-nothing target.
- Mind liquidity: in a thin pool a big sell moves the price. Market cap vs liquidity explains why.
What auto orders can't promise
Orders are filled by a keeper that watches prices and executes on-chain. If the price gaps past your level in a single trade, your order fills at the next available price, which can be worse than your level. Auto orders reduce how long you need to watch the market; they don't remove risk.
Combine with the basics
Auto orders work best on coins that passed the rug pull checklist. A stop loss can't save you from a honeypot that blocks selling.
Questions
Do my coins leave my wallet when I set a take profit?
No. On sasa sell orders use an approval; the coins stay in your wallet until the order fills.
Can I cancel a buy-the-dip order?
Yes, any time before it fills. The USDC held for it returns to you.
Will my stop loss always sell at exactly my price?
Not always. In a fast drop the order fills at the next available price, which can be lower.
Do auto orders cost extra?
No separate fee: the normal 1% trading fee applies when an order fills.
