BNB Chain meme coin launchpads compared: four.meme, PancakeSwap launches and launch races

9 min read · Updated October 13, 2026

BNB Chain is the second-busiest EVM home for meme coins after Base, with a retail crowd that trades in size and a DEX, PancakeSwap, that almost every coin graduates to. There are three distinct ways a coin gets launched there: on a bonding-curve launchpad, directly as a PancakeSwap pool, or as one chain in a multi-chain race. This guide compares them on cost, control, what the buyer sees and where the liquidity ends up. For the chain-level comparison with Base, see Base vs BNB Chain for meme coins.

What makes BNB Chain different for launches

  • Gas is BNB. Creators and buyers need BNB in their wallet, or an app that takes fees from a USDC balance. Fees per swap are usually a few cents.
  • PancakeSwap is the gravity well. Trading bots, screeners and most traders watch PancakeSwap pools; a coin that is not there is hard to find. The current pool architecture is PancakeSwap Infinity, documented in the PancakeSwap docs.
  • The crowd is large and fast. Coins can move from zero to a few hundred holders in minutes, and die just as fast. Why most meme coins die in the first hour is written for exactly this market.
  • Bots are everywhere. Expect snipers at any public launch, and expect the first block of any PancakeSwap pool to be bought by wallets that were watching for it.

Option 1: a bonding-curve launchpad (four.meme)

four.meme is the BNB Chain counterpart to pump.fun. The creator fills in a name, ticker and image, pays a small launch cost, and the coin goes live on a bonding curve. Buyers trade against the curve, the price rises with supply sold, and when the curve reaches its target the launchpad moves the coin into a PancakeSwap pool under the launchpad's own liquidity handling, which its documentation describes. The creator does not touch the pool. This is the graduation model and it has two big advantages: the launch is free of liquidity-seeding cost and the buyer can see a progress bar.

The drawbacks are the ones every curve launchpad shares. Until graduation the coin is not on PancakeSwap, so DEX-watching bots and chart tools may not see it, and most coins never graduate at all. A coin that stalls at 30% of its curve is in limbo: tradeable only on the launchpad, invisible to the rest of the chain.

Option 2: launch directly as a PancakeSwap pool

Any deployer can create a token, make a coin/BNB pool on PancakeSwap and seed it. This skips the curve entirely: the coin is on the DEX from block one, bots see it immediately and the chart exists from the first trade. The cost is that the creator must supply the liquidity. Seeding a pool with 0.5 BNB and 80% of supply means that 0.5 BNB sets the starting market cap, and the creator must then lock the liquidity position or buyers will assume a rug. Locked liquidity explained covers how the lock works and how buyers verify it.

  1. Deploy the token with a fixed supply and no owner powers, or renounce ownership afterwards.
  2. Create the coin/BNB pool on PancakeSwap Infinity and choose the swap fee. 1% is common for meme coins because it funds a creator share.
  3. Add the initial liquidity. Everything you add is at risk of being sniped in the first block.
  4. Lock or burn the LP position and publish the proof.
  5. Make the first buy yourself, then announce. How big should your first buy be has the numbers.

Option 3: a four-chain launch race that includes BNB Chain

On sasa the creator does not choose BNB Chain. One launch opens a coin/BNB pool on PancakeSwap Infinity alongside pools on Base, Robinhood Chain and Arc, at one contract address with about $3,000 of combined starting market cap, and after five minutes of buying the chain that bought the most keeps all four pools' liquidity, less a 2% hand-over fee on the losing pools' money, in one locked pool; how the 5-minute launch race works has the full sequence.

For a BNB Chain audience this means two things. If the BNB crowd buys harder than the Base, Arc and Robinhood Chain crowds, the coin's permanent pool is a PancakeSwap pool with the liquidity of all four chains combined, minus a 2% hand-over fee on the money moved in from the losing pools. If not, BNB buyers keep their coins, just on the winning chain, and the BNB pool's money moves to the winner minus that same 2% fee. The creator earns 30% of trading fees on the winning pool forever, or can choose buyback-and-burn instead; see earn from meme coin trading fees.

Side by side

  • Cost to launch: four.meme charges a small launch cost; a direct pool costs whatever you seed plus gas; sasa needs a first buy on each chain in USDC (from $5 per chain) plus a few cents of network fees.
  • Liquidity source: four.meme raises it on the curve; a direct pool is the creator's own money; a race pools the buyers of four chains into one winner.
  • Visible to bots and charts: direct pool and race, immediately; four.meme only after graduation.
  • Liquidity lock: four.meme handles the graduated pool's liquidity under its own rules; direct pool depends on the creator; race locks the winner's pool automatically.
  • Creator earnings: varies by launchpad; direct pool depends on the fee setup; race pays 30% of fees to the creator or burns.
  • Chain choice: four.meme and direct pool are BNB Chain only; the race lets the buyers pick between four chains.

How to choose as a creator

If your community is already on BNB Chain, holds BNB and lives on PancakeSwap, a four.meme launch is the lowest-effort route and buyers understand the format. If you have liquidity to commit and want the coin on the DEX from the first block with a fee you control, a direct PancakeSwap pool gives you that at the price of trust-building work. If you are not sure the BNB crowd is your crowd, a race answers the question with money instead of guesswork, and it costs a first buy on each chain (from $5 per chain) plus a few cents of network fees to find out. Whatever you pick, work through the meme coin launch checklist first.

Mistakes creators make on BNB Chain

  • No BNB for gas. A creator who holds USDT or USDC on BNB Chain and no BNB cannot deploy, seed or even approve a token. Fund gas first, or use a platform that lets you pay it in USDC.
  • Seeding too little. A direct pool with a few dollars of BNB has a chart that any single buyer can move 50%. Buyers read that as a trap, not an opportunity.
  • Locking without proof. An LP lock that is not linked from the announcement might as well not exist. Post the lock transaction or the burn address with the contract address.
  • Announcing before the first buy. The first candle on an empty pool is whoever snipes it. Make the first buy, then post.
  • Reusing a ticker. PancakeSwap has years of history; a ticker that already belongs to a dead or scam coin confuses search and screeners. Search the ticker on PancakeSwap and a screener before you commit.
  • Ignoring the clock. BNB Chain's crowd is heavily in Asian time zones. A launch timed for US evenings can land while most of the audience is asleep.

How to choose as a buyer

Buyers on BNB Chain face the same risks on every route, and the checks are the same. On a four.meme coin, look at how far the curve has filled and how many wallets did the filling. On a direct pool, confirm the LP lock on a block explorer before anything else. On a race coin, the pool is locked by the protocol and the creator's coins are not, so read the creator's wallet on the explorer like any other holder; every coin listed on sasa's Explore page has also passed an automated check for liquidity, taxes, owner powers and holder spread. In all three cases, the bundled wallets guide is the single most useful read before you buy.

Questions

What is the main meme coin launchpad on BNB Chain?

four.meme is the best-known bonding-curve launchpad on BNB Chain. Coins start on a curve and graduate to a PancakeSwap pool when the curve fills.

Do I need BNB to launch or buy a meme coin on BNB Chain?

With your own wallet, yes: network fees on BNB Chain are paid in BNB. Apps that hold a USDC balance and take network fees from it, such as a sasa account, let you buy and launch without holding BNB.

Where do BNB Chain meme coins trade after launch?

Almost all of them end up in a PancakeSwap pool paired with BNB. Bots, screeners and most traders watch PancakeSwap, so that is where a coin becomes discoverable.

How does a sasa launch work on BNB Chain?

sasa opens a coin/BNB pool on PancakeSwap Infinity as one of four chains in a five-minute race. If BNB Chain attracts the most buying, the other chains' liquidity is moved into the PancakeSwap pool, minus a 2% hand-over fee, and it is locked forever.

Is a launchpad coin safer than a direct PancakeSwap launch?

Not automatically. A launchpad usually takes the graduated pool's liquidity out of the creator's hands, which removes one risk, but holder concentration, bundled first buys and owner powers are separate checks that apply to every route.
