Clanker alternatives: 6 ways to launch a token in 2026
10 min read · Updated October 26, 2026
The best Clanker alternatives in 2026 are Zora and Flaunch if you want to stay on Base, Bankr if you want an agent-style launch on Robinhood Chain, Base, Arbitrum or Arc, pump.fun for Solana, Four.meme for BNB Chain, and sasa if you want one launch that runs on several chains at once. Which one fits depends on where your buyers are, how you want creator fees split, and whether you want a bonding curve or a launch straight into a pool.
Clanker itself is still a solid choice for Base launches, especially for anyone active on Farcaster. This guide explains what Clanker does well, where people look elsewhere, and how each alternative compares on chain, fees, launch mechanics and wallet needs.
What is Clanker and how does it work in 2026?
Clanker started in late 2024 as a bot on Farcaster: you tagged @clanker in a cast with a name, ticker and image, and it deployed a token on Base. It grew fast; by April 2025 The Block reported over 200,000 tokens created and more than $13 million in revenue for the team. Farcaster acquired Clanker in October 2025, and the protocol's fees now go to buying its CLANKER token.
Today you can launch through a Farcaster cast, through the clanker.world web app, through third-party front ends, or through an SDK. Clanker v4 moved pools to Uniswap v4. A few details matter when comparing it with the alternatives:
- No bonding curve. The token goes straight into a Uniswap pool, so it trades like any Base token from the first block.
- No deployment fee from Clanker. You pay Base gas, which is usually small.
- The creator sets the pool fee, either a fixed rate or a dynamic one that rises with volatility. Clanker charges a protocol fee equal to 20% of that fee on top.
- Up to seven fee recipients can share the creator side, and the split is fixed at deployment.
- Optional vaulting of up to 90% of supply with a minimum 7-day lockup, plus a short trading delay and high starting fees to slow same-block snipers.
- Fixed supply of 100 billion tokens per launch.
Activity has cooled from the 2025 peak. DefiLlama shows Clanker with more than $90 million in cumulative fees, but its 30-day fees in late October 2026 were roughly a quarter of a million dollars, almost all on Base. That is still real volume, but it explains why creators are checking what else is out there.
Why do people look for Clanker alternatives?
Most people who search for a Clanker alternative have one of four reasons. Knowing which one is yours narrows the list quickly.
- Their audience is not on Base. Solana and BNB Chain each have large meme coin crowds that rarely bridge to Base for a new coin.
- They want a bonding curve. A curve gives a predictable starting price and a clear graduation moment, which some communities prefer to a pool that is live and open from the first block.
- They are not on Farcaster. Clanker's social reach is strongest there; creators whose audience lives on X or Telegram may prefer a tool built around those.
- They want a different fee deal, such as a fixed creator share they do not have to configure, or an option to burn tokens instead of collecting fees.
How we compared them
We looked at each platform from the creator's side and the buyer's side, and checked fees and mechanics against each project's own documentation and recent reporting from 2025 and 2026. Where a number changes often or was not published, we say so instead of guessing. The criteria:
- Chains: where the token lives and where buyers can reach it.
- Launch model: bonding curve first, or straight into a pool.
- Fees: what a trader pays per trade, and how much of that reaches the creator.
- Launch cost and wallet needs: gas tokens, wallet setup, membership requirements.
- Trade-offs: what you give up by choosing it.
Clanker alternatives compared at a glance
| Platform | Chains | Launch model | Creator earnings | Best for | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Clanker | Base (some activity on other EVM chains) | Straight into Uniswap v4 pool | Creator-set pool fee; Clanker adds 20% on top | Farcaster communities | Activity far below 2025 peak |
| Zora | Base; attention markets on Solana | Coin per profile or post | Share of a 1% trade fee | Creators and posts as coins | Smaller meme crowd today |
| Bankr | Robinhood Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Arc | Doppler fair launch | Most of each swap fee | Agent-style launches from chat or X | Launching limited to Bankr Club members |
| Flaunch | Base | Fixed-price start, then Uniswap v4 | Swap fees to the deployer | Base creators wanting a fair start | Smaller audience |
| pump.fun | Solana | Bonding curve, then PumpSwap | 0.30% of curve trades | Largest Solana meme crowd | Very crowded, many launches a day |
| Four.meme | BNB Chain | Bonding curve, then PancakeSwap | Depends on launch settings | BNB Chain audience | Needs BNB for gas |
| sasa | Base, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain, Arc race; Solana | Race across 4 chains, or Solana curve | 30% of a 2% pool fee (race) | Multi-chain reach from one USDC balance | Newer and smaller |
Zora: the closest alternative on Base
Zora turned posts and profiles on Base into tradable coins. It launched the ZORA token in April 2025 and creator coins tied to Base profiles in July 2025, which for a while pushed Base past Solana in daily token creation. Zora's documentation describes a unified 1% fee on creator and content coins, split between the creator, the referring platform, the trade referrer and the protocol, with part reminted as liquidity. New coins start with a short sniper tax that begins at 99% and falls to the normal fee within about 10 seconds.
In February 2026 Zora launched attention markets on Solana, where anyone can open a market on a topic or trend for 1 SOL. Its Base coin activity has dropped a lot since then. Zora suits creators whose coin is really about their posts or profile rather than a standalone meme. If you are weighing the two Base options directly, see Clanker vs Zora and our separate list of Zora alternatives.
Bankr: launch from a chat message or a post on X
Bankr is an AI agent that can launch tokens when you ask it to, in its app, from its command line tool, through a web form, or by tagging @bankrbot on X. According to its help pages, launches use the Doppler protocol, default to Robinhood Chain, and can also go to Base, Arbitrum or Arc. Bankr sponsors gas on Base. Each token has a 100 billion supply, with an optional 15% creator allocation that vests over a year. Creators earn most of each swap fee, and launches open with an 80% swap fee that falls to the normal rate over about 14 seconds to discourage bots.
The catch is access: Bankr's help pages say launching is currently limited to Bankr Club members. If you already use Bankr, it is the most Clanker-like experience outside Farcaster. If you are new to Robinhood Chain, our guide on how to launch a meme coin on Robinhood Chain covers the basics.
Flaunch: a Base launchpad built on Uniswap v4 hooks
Flaunch is another Base launchpad that uses Uniswap v4 hooks. Launches start with a short fixed-price phase before open trading, which aims to give early buyers a fairer entry than a race against bots, and the deployer earns swap fees. It has a smaller following than Clanker or Zora, so it suits creators who already have an audience and care more about the launch mechanics than about built-in discovery. Our roundup of meme coin launchpads on Base covers it alongside other Base options.
pump.fun: the default if your buyers are on Solana
If your audience is on Solana, pump.fun is the obvious comparison. Creating a coin has no platform fee. Coins start on a bonding curve where each trade pays 1.25%, of which 0.30% goes to the creator, according to an October 2026 fee breakdown. When the curve fills, the coin moves to PumpSwap, pump.fun's own exchange, where fees step down as market cap grows. It has by far the largest Solana meme crowd, which also means your coin competes with a very large number of new launches every day. Our list of pump.fun alternatives covers the other Solana options.
Four.meme: the BNB Chain option
Four.meme is the main launchpad on BNB Chain. A launch costs about 0.005 BNB, trades pay 1% with a small minimum, and coins migrate to PancakeSwap once the curve fills. During the BNB Chain meme season in October 2025 it briefly topped every launchpad by daily revenue. You need BNB for gas, and the platform had two exploits in early 2025 that were followed by compensation. Our full list of Four.meme alternatives goes deeper.
sasa: one launch, several chains
sasa takes a different approach for EVM chains. Instead of picking Base or BNB Chain, a launch race puts one coin on Base, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain and Arc at once, at the same contract address, with each chain's pool starting at about $3,000 market cap. For 5 minutes, traders buy on whichever chain they like from one USDC balance. The chain with the most buying wins; the losing pools are converted at the Chainlink price and moved to the winner minus a 2% hand-over fee, and holders on losing chains receive coins on the winning chain automatically. The winning pool is locked forever.
sasa pools charge 2% per trade, and the creator earns 30% of that fee forever, or can choose buyback-and-burn instead. The creator's first buy starts from $5 per chain. You can sign up with an email address and pay from a USDC Cash balance, so you do not need ETH or BNB for gas. The full mechanics are in how the 5-minute launch race works.
sasa also launches Solana coins on Solana's standard launch curve for about $5 from Cash plus your first buy, with creator fees split half to the creator and half to sasa. The trade-off is honest and simple: sasa is newer and smaller than Clanker, Zora or pump.fun, so it brings less built-in audience. You cannot launch on Base alone through sasa; an EVM launch is always the four-chain race.
Worked example: what a creator earns on $100,000 of volume
This example uses the fee rates described above to show how the models differ. It is an illustration only, not a forecast; most coins never trade anything close to $100,000.
| Platform | Fee setting used | Creator share of $100,000 volume |
|---|---|---|
| Clanker | Creator sets a 1% static pool fee (traders pay about 1.2% with Clanker's cut) | About $1,000, shared among the creator's chosen recipients |
| pump.fun (on the curve) | 1.25% per trade, 0.30% to the creator | About $300 |
| sasa launch race | 2% per trade, 30% to the creator | About $600, or a buyback-and-burn instead |
Higher creator fees are not automatically better. A higher fee means traders pay more on every buy and sell, which can push active traders elsewhere. The guide to earning from meme coin trading fees covers this balance,.
Bonding curve or straight into a pool: which is better?
Clanker, Zora and Bankr put the token into a pool from the start. pump.fun, Four.meme, LetsBonk and sasa's Solana launches start on a bonding curve, then graduate to a pool when the curve fills. Neither is strictly better.
- A pool from the start means the coin is tradable on every aggregator right away, and price moves follow normal pool math. It also means bots can buy in the first blocks, which is why Clanker and Bankr use high starting fees and delays.
- A bonding curve gives a predictable starting price and a public milestone (graduation) that communities like to rally around.
- A race like sasa's adds a fixed 5-minute window and a winner chain, so the opening is a short, visible event rather than an open-ended start.
Which Clanker alternative should you use?
- You are active on Farcaster and want Base: stay with Clanker. It is still the most natural fit there.
- Your coin is about you, your posts or your profile: Zora.
- You want to launch by asking an agent, and you are a Bankr Club member: Bankr, on Robinhood Chain, Base, Arbitrum or Arc.
- You want a fixed-price start on Base: Flaunch.
- Your buyers are on Solana: pump.fun, or sasa's Solana launch if you would rather pay from USDC with no Solana wallet.
- Your buyers are on BNB Chain: Four.meme.
- You do not know which EVM chain will respond best and want a fixed creator share: a sasa launch race on Base, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain and Arc.
If you are still choosing a chain, the best chains to launch a meme coin compares them on cost and audience, and meme coin launchpad fees compared puts every fee side by side. Launching a coin is high risk: most new coins lose nearly all their value, and no platform choice changes that.
Questions
What is the best Clanker alternative on Base?
Zora is the closest alternative on Base for creators whose coin is tied to their profile or posts, and Flaunch suits creators who want a fixed-price start. Bankr can also launch on Base, though launching is currently limited to Bankr Club members.
Does Clanker charge a fee to create a token?
Clanker does not charge a deployment fee; you pay Base gas, which is usually small. It earns from trading instead, taking a protocol fee equal to 20% of the pool fee the creator sets.
What is the best Clanker alternative for Solana?
pump.fun is the largest Solana launchpad, with no platform fee to create a coin and a 1.25% fee on curve trades. sasa can also launch a Solana coin on Solana's standard launch curve for about $5 from a USDC balance, with no SOL or Solana wallet needed.
Who owns Clanker?
Farcaster acquired Clanker in October 2025. Clanker's protocol fees are used to buy its CLANKER token.
Is Clanker safe to use?
Clanker's v4 contracts were audited by Macro and Cantina, and it has a long track record on Base. The coins launched on it are a separate question: anyone can launch one, so check holders, liquidity and contract settings before buying any of them.
Can I launch the same coin on Base and BNB Chain at once?
Not with Clanker, which deploys to one chain per launch. A sasa launch race puts one coin on Base, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain and Arc at the same contract address, and after 5 minutes the chain with the most buying wins.
Does Clanker use a bonding curve?
No. Clanker deploys a token straight into a Uniswap v4 pool, so it trades like any Base token from the start. pump.fun, Four.meme and sasa's Solana launches use a bonding curve that graduates to a pool when it fills.
