Meme coin launchpad fees compared: pump.fun, Zora, Clanker
10 min read · Updated October 26, 2026
Most meme coin launchpads charge little or nothing to create a coin and earn instead from a fee on every trade, usually between 1% and 2%. Pump.fun takes 1.25% on its bonding curve (0.30% of it to the creator), Zora and Jupiter Studio take 1% with half to the creator, Four.meme takes 1%, and Clanker's pool fee and split depend on the version and settings used. What differs most is who receives the fee and what happens to it after graduation.
This guide lays the numbers side by side, as published or reported in 2026, and runs one worked example so you can see what creators actually earn. Fees on these platforms change often (pump.fun alone has changed its model several times since 2025), so treat this as a dated snapshot and confirm on the launch screen.
What fees does a meme coin launchpad charge?
A launchpad can charge you at up to five points in a coin's life. Comparing only the headline trading fee misses most of them:
- Launch cost: what the creator pays to deploy, from zero to a fixed fee, plus network gas.
- Trading fee on the curve: a percentage of every buy and sell while the coin is on the launch curve, split between the platform, the creator and sometimes liquidity.
- Graduation or migration fee: a one-off cost when the coin moves from the curve to a regular pool.
- Pool fee after graduation: the fee on trades in the new pool, which may or may not still pay the creator.
- Anti-sniper fee: a very high fee in the first seconds after launch that decays to normal, designed to make bot sniping expensive.
Network fees sit on top of all of these and depend on the chain. If the mechanics of a curve are new to you, start with what is a bonding curve.
How we compared them
We took each platform's default meme launch (not custom or partner configurations), and recorded the five items above from official docs where we could reach them and from 2026 reporting where we could not. Where a number could not be confirmed, we say so rather than estimate. The creator share is shown as a share of trade volume, so platforms with different total fees can be compared directly.
| Launchpad | Chain | Launch cost | Fee per trade | Creator gets | After the curve |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| pump.fun | Solana | Free (network fee only) | 1.25% on curve | 0.30% of volume | PumpSwap, tiered fees |
| bonk.fun | Solana | Check launch screen | About 1.5% on curve (reported) | Up to 0.5% (LaunchLab cap) | Raydium pool |
| Jupiter Studio | Solana | Not published | 1% for life | 0.5% of volume | Meteora pool, LP locked |
| Zora | Base | Gas only | 1% | 0.5% of volume | No curve; Uniswap v4 pool |
| Clanker | Base and other EVM chains | Gas only | Pool fee, often 1% | Depends on version | No curve; Uniswap pool, LP locked |
| Four.meme | BNB Chain | About 0.005 BNB | 1% (min 0.001 BNB) | Check current terms | PancakeSwap at about 18 BNB |
| sasa (Solana) | Solana | About $5 from USDC | Standard Solana curve fees | Half of creator fees | Regular pool |
| sasa (launch race) | Base, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain, Arc | First buy from $5 per chain | 2% in sasa pools | 0.6% of volume (30% of fee) | Winner's pool locked forever |
How much does pump.fun charge?
Creating a coin on pump.fun is free apart from the Solana network fee, and coins can now be paired with SOL or USDC. Every trade on the bonding curve pays 1.25%: 0.30% to the coin's creator and 0.95% to the protocol. When the curve fills, the coin migrates to a PumpSwap pool and a one-off 0.015 SOL graduation fee is taken from the reserves.
After graduation the fee becomes tiered by market cap. Total PumpSwap fees start around 1.25% for the smallest graduated coins and fall across many tiers to a floor of 0.30% for the largest. The creator's cut peaks at about 0.95% in roughly the 420 to 1,470 SOL market-cap band and drops to 0.05% at the top. Half of pump.fun's revenue goes to buying back and burning its PUMP token, according to 2026 reporting. In October 2026 it also changed fees on its own app separately from the curve fee, so check both. Comparisons with its rivals are in pump.fun alternatives and pump.fun vs LetsBonk.
What are bonk.fun's (LetsBonk's) fees?
Bonk.fun runs on Raydium's LaunchLab. An October 2026 analysis of on-chain settings put its curve fee at about 1.5% per trade: a 0.25% LaunchLab fee plus 1.25% for the platform. LaunchLab caps the creator fee on the curve at 0.5%, and graduation costs about 0.04 SOL from the curve's reserves to open a Raydium pool, whose default fee is 0.25%. Bonk.fun's revenue use has changed several times; since December 2025 the burn share was removed and 51% of revenue buys BONK for a treasury. Because the platform's own terms do not list a creator rate, check the launch screen.
Zora fees: where does the 1% go?
Zora coins on Base do not use a graduating curve. Each coin trades in a Uniswap v4 pool from the start, and every trade pays 1%. Zora's docs split that 1% as: 50% to the creator, 20% to the platform that referred the coin, 4% to the app that routed the trade, 1% to Doppler (the launch infrastructure), 5% to the protocol, and 20% recycled into liquidity. In volume terms, the creator receives 0.5% of everything traded. New coins also start with a 99% sniper fee that decays to the base fee over 10 seconds. More on how Zora stacks up in Clanker vs Zora.
Clanker fees: why the split depends on the version
Clanker deploys a token with its whole supply in a Uniswap pool on Base (and, through its SDK, other EVM chains such as Ethereum and Arbitrum), with the initial liquidity locked forever. There is no curve and no graduation, and the only launch cost is gas. Earlier versions used a 1% pool fee with the creator receiving 40% of it when launching through clanker.world. Clanker v4 made fees configurable, with static or dynamic options, and takes a protocol fee of 20% of the effective fee; the creator's share of the rest depends on how rewards are configured and which interface launched the coin. Read the reward split on the deploy screen before you launch.
Four.meme and Jupiter Studio fees
Four.meme is the main BNB Chain launchpad. Reviews updated in October 2026 list a creation fee of about 0.005 BNB, a 1% trading fee with a 0.001 BNB minimum, and graduation to PancakeSwap at roughly 18 BNB raised, with LP burned at migration. Its X Mode launches use a dynamic fee that decreases block by block after launch. Our Four.meme vs pump.fun guide goes deeper.
Jupiter Studio keeps one rule for the whole life of a token: 1% on every buy and sell, split 50/50 between the creator and Jupiter, before and after graduation. In meme mode a coin graduates at a $75,000 market cap (about 15,390 USDC raised) into a Meteora pool with all LP permanently locked. An anti-sniper fee starting at 99% decays to zero over the first 15 to 60 seconds, and that fee goes entirely to the creator.
What does sasa charge to launch a coin?
On Solana, a sasa launch costs about $5 from your USDC Cash balance plus whatever first buy you choose, with no SOL or Solana wallet needed. The coin launches on Solana's standard launch curve, so it shows up immediately in Solana explorers, DexScreener, GMGN and wallets. Trades pay the standard curve's fees, and the coin's creator fees are split half to the creator and half to sasa, fixed in the launch itself. Details are in Solana creator fees explained.
On EVM chains, sasa runs a launch race: one coin launches on Base, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain and Arc at the same contract address, each pool starting at about $3,000 market cap, with a creator first buy from $5 per chain. After 5 minutes, the chain with the most buying wins; losing pools are converted at the Chainlink price and moved to the winner minus a 2% hand-over fee. sasa pools charge 2% per trade, and the creator earns 30% of that fee forever or can choose buyback-and-burn instead. The fee per trade is higher than most rivals; the creator's share of volume (0.6%) is among the highest in this table. sasa is also much newer and smaller than pump.fun, Zora or Four.meme. You can start one on the create page.
Worked example: who earns what on $10,000 of trading?
Example (for illustration only): a coin trades $10,000 of volume in its first day, all at the rates in the table above, before network fees.
| Launchpad | Total fees paid by traders | Creator earns | Platform and others |
|---|---|---|---|
| pump.fun (on curve) | $125 | $30 | $95 protocol |
| bonk.fun (on curve) | About $150 | Up to $50 | Rest to LaunchLab and platform |
| Jupiter Studio | $100 | $50 | $50 Jupiter |
| Zora | $100 | $50 | $50 split across referrers, protocol, LP |
| Clanker v4 at 1% | $100 | Depends on config | $20 protocol, rest per reward setup |
| Four.meme | $100 | Check terms | Platform |
| sasa launch race pool | $200 | $60 | $140 sasa (or creator picks buyback-and-burn) |
Two lessons stand out. For traders, a lower fee per trade is cheaper per round trip, which matters most for people who trade in and out often. For creators, the share of volume matters more than the headline rate: 0.30% on pump.fun's curve versus 0.5% on Zora or Jupiter Studio versus 0.6% in a sasa race pool. Creator fees only add up if a coin keeps trading, though, and most coins stop within hours. How to earn from meme coin trading fees covers what realistic volumes look like.
What costs are not in the fee table?
Three costs sit outside every launchpad's published fee. Network fees: cheap on Solana, Base and BNB Chain, higher on Ethereum mainnet. Priority fees and tips: on busy Solana launches, traders pay extra to land first, and creators pay them too if they want their first buy in the launch block. Price impact: on a fresh curve, a large first buy moves the price far more than any fee, which is why how big your first buy should be matters as much as the launchpad you choose.
Which launchpad is cheapest?
- Cheapest to launch: pump.fun, Zora and Clanker charge only network fees to create a coin; Four.meme asks about 0.005 BNB; sasa about $5 on Solana.
- Cheapest per trade for buyers: Zora, Jupiter Studio, Four.meme and Clanker at 1% defaults, then pump.fun's curve at 1.25%.
- Best creator share of volume: sasa's race pools (0.6%), then Zora and Jupiter Studio (0.5%), with pump.fun's curve at 0.30% and its PumpSwap tiers up to 0.95% in a mid-size band.
- Most predictable: Jupiter Studio, which keeps the same 1% and 50/50 split for the token's whole life.
Which one should you use?
Pick on audience first and fees second. Pump.fun has the deepest Solana audience by far; Zora and Clanker suit creators already active on Base and Farcaster; Four.meme is where BNB Chain traders look. If fees decide it, decide whether you care more about trader cost or creator income, because the table pulls in opposite directions. For a wider look at the platforms themselves, see the best meme coin launchpads. Launching a meme coin is a high-risk experiment, not an income plan; most coins never graduate.
Questions
What fees does pump.fun charge?
Creating a coin is free apart from Solana network fees. Each bonding-curve trade pays 1.25%, with 0.30% to the creator and 0.95% to the protocol, and graduation to PumpSwap costs 0.015 SOL from the reserves. After graduation, PumpSwap fees are tiered by market cap.
Which meme coin launchpad pays creators the most?
Measured as a share of trading volume, sasa's EVM race pools pay the creator 0.6% (30% of a 2% fee), Zora and Jupiter Studio pay 0.5%, and pump.fun's curve pays 0.30%, rising to as much as 0.95% on PumpSwap for mid-size coins. Actual earnings depend entirely on volume.
How much does it cost to launch a meme coin?
On pump.fun, Zora and Clanker you pay only network fees to create a coin. Four.meme charges about 0.005 BNB, and sasa charges about $5 from USDC for a Solana launch plus your optional first buy. Our guide on how much it costs to launch a meme coin breaks this down further.
What are Zora's trading fees?
Zora coins pay a 1% fee on every trade. Half goes to the creator, 20% to liquidity, 20% to the referring platform, 5% to the protocol, 4% to the trade referrer and 1% to Doppler.
Does Clanker charge a fee to launch?
Clanker charges no launch fee beyond gas. It earns from a fee on trades in the token's Uniswap pool; in v4 the protocol takes 20% of the effective fee, and the creator's share of the rest depends on the reward configuration.
What are Four.meme's fees?
According to reviews updated in October 2026, Four.meme charges about 0.005 BNB to create a token and 1% per trade with a 0.001 BNB minimum. Coins graduate to PancakeSwap at roughly 18 BNB raised.
What is the cheapest Solana meme coin launchpad?
Pump.fun is free to create on, but charges 1.25% per curve trade. Jupiter Studio charges 1% for the life of the token. Bonk.fun's curve fee was reported at about 1.5%. The cheapest for your coin depends on whether you weigh launch cost, trader cost or creator share.
